Nicole Serra, D.D.S. Dr. Serra was born and raised in Ballard, Washington. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University in California in 1997. In 2001 she received her doctoral degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry along with the American Student Dental Association Award of Excellence and the UW School of Dentistry Governance and Service Award. Dr. Serra is married to Dr. Joseph Van Mieghem who is also a general dentist. Together they enjoy the outdoors, playing tennis and spending time at their home in Edmonds. Dr. Serra also sings with various local choirs and is very committed to her family, friends and two lovable dogs.

Dr. Serra is a member of the American Dental Association, the Snohomish County Dental Society and the Washington State Dental Association. She participates in the Northwest Dental Research Seminars and attends various continuing dental education courses to keep up with the ever-changing science of dentistry. Dr. Serra is also active in the American Cancer Society and the Washington Oral Health Foundation in promoting oral cancer awareness in our surrounding community. Terri - Registered Dental Hygienist Terri has been a registered dental hygienist for nearly 20 years. Terri enjoys keeping current on the newest periodontal treatments by taking continuing education classes each quarter. Educating her patients on proper home care is a priority for Terri. In addition she works hard to provide her patients with a positive, gentle and thorough visit. Terri has a great sense of humor and always makes her patients feel at home in the dental chair. When Terri is not working, she enjoys reading, walking her black lab and traveling.
